Reportage Photomontage : Les états imaginés d'Amérique (Arte)

I had to write something about it, it was just unbelievable, I'm sure everybody who love photography will enjoy watching the documentary by Arte. Let's explain a little bit so you can have a better idea :

Pierre Guimond is a canadian artist always fascinated by the States. He took more than 20millions of pictures durings his travels, in his childhood he often crossed the border to explore the USA. He decided to put the pictures together to make a photomontage. What you can see his the pictures is the real and unreal USA, the clichés, the surreal.He is trying to make a portrait of the american dream, the perfect America...

But you feel also, the dizzy turn in view of the unbridled modernity.

I noticed the perspectives, the differents lines of constructions, the details which make sense, we can easily have the artist poitn of view, it's kind of clear that he is dreaming of the excesses of the USA.
